As jails and prisons throughout Pennsylvania and the United States are working to reduce their populations in light of the coronavirus pandemic, inmates who are only being held on a detainer may be eligible for release if an experienced criminal defense attorney files a detainer motion on their behalf.

The only step left is for the judge to sign an order releasing our client, who is being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility.
Since prisons are often crowded and medical treatment and testing can be difficult to obtain, they can be a breeding grounds for harmful diseases, including COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
Prosecutors are fully aware of this problem and have been willing to work with our attorneys to ensure a positive outcome. If they are not willing to work with us, we are not afraid to argue the motion in front of a judge.
Obviously, our client’s family is excited beyond words, knowing that their loved one will be returning home soon.
