Not Guilty on Attempted Murder and Aggrevated Felony Assault Charges

Our client was facing Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault felony 1 for allegations stemming from a shooting of a person in their head. Kenny vigorously crossed examined the complainant regarding their claims. Kenny brought out that complainant brought a box cutter (Court found it to be a deadly weapon) to the incident and in fact used it first, the complainant was accosting a female, and then Kenny’s client and complainant fought over the gun and it grazed the back of his head. The case was vigorously contested but the Judge ultimately dismissed the attempted murder and felony 1 aggravated assault charges, a savings of potential exposure of 60 years for the client. Case was held over to trial for lower charges which may ultimately be resolved in the court negotiation process.
