Burglary Charges Dismissed in Gloucester County, New Jersey

Attorney Eileen Burns got multiple indictable offense charges dismissed for a client today in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Our client had the following charges against him tossed out:

  • BURGLARY–2C:18-2A(1)
  • CONSPIRACY–2C:5-2A(1)
  • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING–2C:20-3A
  • RESISTING ARREST–2C:29-2A(1)
  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF–2C:17-3A(1)

In the end, our client entered a guilty plea agreement in which he only pleaded guilty to trespassing, a petty disorderly persons offense. A petty disorderly persons offense is the lowest level criminal charge in New Jersey law.

Our client walked away from the entire ordeal having to only pay court costs and fines, shared with his co-defendants. Needless to say, he was grateful to not be sentenced to any jail time or probation.
