Criminal Charges Dismissed

Criminal Charges Dismissed. A client was encountering some modest success out of state in a new business venture. Trouble arose. During a routine background check while attempting to obtain a security clearance, an old bench warrant out of Philadelphia came up. This warrant had the potential to derail not only our client’s business prospects but his freedom and liberty as well.

Client made a good decision in hiring Thomas D. Kenny, Criminal Lawyer, to handle his Philadelphia Criminal Law Matter. The team at Kenny, Burns & McGill prides itself in helping its clients avoid trouble.

Client was being charged with Theft unlawful taking and Theft receiving stolen property, two crimes under the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. To make matters worse by not attending court proceedings the court issued a bench warrant for the client’s arrest.

Attorney Kenny was able to file an emergency motion to lift the bench warrant and was able to do so while not requiring the client to come back in state to address the matter. The emergency motion was granted by the Philadelphia Court in this Philadelphia Criminal Defense matter. Bench warrant was lifted.

On November 23, 2020, the Court dismissed the charges and client was free from any potential danger on this most important matter. Criminal charges dismissed.
