Detainer Lifted Montgomery County. On a late Friday night, Montgomery County Criminal Lawyer Thomas D. Kenny CEO/President of Kenny, Burns McGill was having a business dinner to discuss new business ventures with an old client. Suddenly a call comes in from a new client. Client is frantic and crying hysterically. It seems she is on probation in Montgomery County and Chester County and has just been notified that she has an active arrest warrant in Philadelphia. Philly PD claim that client is assaulted two other women in a drug rehabilitation facility. Attorney Kenny quickly surmises that in fact, the other woman were making fun of client’s medical conditions and tried to hurt her first. Attorney Kenny asks the Honorable Court to lift the detainer and allow the client to go home after almost sixty days in custody. The situation becomes even more precarious because the Montgomery County Probation Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office wants client to serve another four months in jail!
Fortunately for client, on December 2, 2020, the Judge sides with Kenny and lifts client’s detainer allowing her to be home with her children on his upcoming holiday. Great win! Detainer lifted Montgomery County.
